<div class="markdown_content"><p>More modern versions of python handle UTF-8 encoding perfectly with the default univervisal <code>C.UTF-8</code> encoding. The hard-coded <code>en_US.UTF-8</code> that's used by svn.py isn't necessary anymore.</p></div>
