Looks good and fixes this issue. However, I'm going to keep [#5726] open still because when creating a new topic in a discussion, that initial topic text does not appear in the rss feed (only followup comments do).

Haven't merged it yet actually... allura.tests.unit.controllers.test_discussion_moderation_controller.TestWhenModerating.test_that_it_can_approve fails with this change. Can you update that test?
