#1382 no mechanism for specifying forum shortnames
so the logic currently simply copies the long name. Two things (a) we probably want to specify the shortname after all, that's what goes in URLs; (b) long names very likely contain spaces, won't those be bad in a shortname? we probably want to strip out whitespace from long names before using as a short name; and maybe even chop off the word 'discussion', as the default starter forum does
