The test suite currently takes 39 minutes to run, we need to speed that up.

I found that about 1/2 the time goes to validation and that individual tests take an average of 8sec to run and the standard deviation is not very high. There really aren't any individual tests to speed up. Any answer we find needs to be systemic.
