#4682 Allow chat/irc tool to be installed in any project
The irc tool is currently 'beta'. We should make it production ready and available for all projects. Some issues to be completed first:
- scalable artifact data storage (I think we create an artifact for every single message, could be huge)
- scalable server-side
- automatically join channels when they are added
- robust error handling & service restart

If I could make another suggestion, I think navigation beyond just "Earlier" and "Later" would be great too.

A nice feature is shareable/bookmarkable URL for each line (makes it easy to point to a specific point in the conversation)
Also, the admin should have a way to go and remove something for the log. Sometimes, people post passwords by mistake.
