#1062 unhandy text bindings in the Search text box [14582]

text entry in the search box is unhandy for me, and different from the standard behavior. Try for instance https://sourceforge.net/p/scipad/tickets/search/?q=gggg. If you select a part of the
existing text and start typing, what you type is appended to the
existing instead of replacing; If you type enter you get a carriage return inside the query string (does this make any sense in the - yet undocumented - query syntax?) [enter should rather trigger search]IIRC that I've seen the same behavior in other text entry boxes (e.g. in the Admin configuration page), but am not sure.
Confirmed the behavior he describes.
We decided the fix for this is to change it from an auto-expander to a regular text box.
