I was unable to figure out how to set a select field default value. I guess I couldve checked the docs, but I didn't because I had no confidence that it would be mentioned, and its unclear how to get help for allura configuration areas. Theres just a vague 'site support' link at the footer, nothing like contextual help. I was able to find a mention of the concept in this bug:

https://sourceforge.net/p/allura/tickets/129/

but the ticket was never closed with a comment like "OK, we did it that way". I added a comment there. I hope I'm right.

I recommend you add a comment to the select-field configuration area that says how to set the default. There's not a whole lot you can do with the list so its not like this in-line documentation will be growing unbounded.

Oh, and in case you're importing sf 1.0 projects into allura with a priority field that uses something other than 5 as the default, I recommend you fix that, since it's whats traditional with SF

    forge-classic:db/5164 and allura:db/5164

The explanation added to the tracker field management page is kinda ugly, but so is that whole page. I didn't want to spend/waste time on formatting.
