#5562 Forum subscription messages prevents conversation [ss1926]

Since a project is upgraded to the new SourceForge, mail messages from watched forums are creating using the user as the sender. In the old SourceForge the sender was SourceForge.
Because of that the mail clients can't identify a set of messages belonging to the same topic as a single conversation, instead you end up with a list of (apparently) unrelated messages.
Is there any way to fix this?
I see this at least with gmail. Not sure what other email clients are affected.
