#8612 pastescript depends on deprecated pkg_resources
pastescript is on life support, but Dave has commit & admin rights to it
issues:
- from paste.script import copydir via ForgeChat, ForgeTracker tests
- paster command (without allurapaste’s warning ignoring)
- change paster serve (rarely used) to something else? gunicorn? waitress?
- pasteDeploy is ok to keep using
- .wsgi file in docs uses it too
from paste.script.util.logging_config import fileConfig(pretty simple actually)
can we “vendor” the bits we need, and not use pastescript as an external package? how to bootstrap the app? investigate paste entry points
